The thin-walled heated and chill rolls are exported into all countries
of the world in which textile machines are in use. Among the customers
are well-known companies, e.g. Morrison/USA, Tsudakoma/Japan and
Benninger/Switzerland. A majority of sales goes to the Far East; e.g.
in Thailand WUMAG cylinders are in use in nearly every textile mill.
Over the past years also the construction of thick-walled rolls gained
in importance. Precision rolls with up to 9 m length for heating, cooling
or pressing of panels such as textiles, plastics or paper are manufactured
in most modern facilities. For the fastest paper machines of the world WUMAG
supplied heavy rollers to Austria and Japan in 1997.
A new and promising
market opens by the production of so-called chill rolls which function as
heart in foil casting and stretching equipments. Beside the production of
individual components also the building of complete plants expanded in
the last years. Highly precise special purpose machines e.g. doubling
calenders with which offset printing cloths are manufactured or
conditioning machines for the coating of floor coverings constitute
a rising quantity of orders in the machine and equipment construction.
